How does xcharta work?
We use advanced machine learning and computer vision techniques to detect charts and then read them, much in the way the human eye would. Users simply upload a document and our software does the rest.
Is xcharta's software easy to use?
Our software is designed to be intuitive and user-friendly. You don't need any technical expertise to use it. Simply upload a document, choose whether you want to extract from specific pages or the full document, and then download the results.
What document types can xcharta read?
Currently, xcharta reads PDF documents. Functionality to accept images and other file types will be introduced soon.
What format do I get the extracted data in?
All data that xcharta extracts is downloadable in .xls format.
What chart types can xcharta extract from?
We currently extract from major chart types (bar, line, area charts), with other chart types to follow soon!
How long does it take to run?
This depends on the size of the inputs. xcharta reads a single chart in seconds, and a full report in minutes.
How can I use xcharta?
xcharta is currently accessible with intuitive 'drag and drop' functionality through your browser. We will launch a browser plug-in and an API soon. Please contact us for further details on these and for access to our beta.
Data & security
How secure is my data when using xcharta?
We take data security very seriously. Our software is hosted on secure Google Cloud servers, and we have advanced encryption and security protocols in place to protect the data that passes through our platform. We are cyber essentials approved.
Are there any restrictions on what can be uploaded?
It is the user's responsibility to ensure that they have adequate permissions to extract data from the documents that pass through xcharta's platform. More details on this can be found in the Terms of Service.
